Dr. Schmalz was incredibly patient with us and the weather as we were trying to create a calm, relaxing environment outside for Apollo's last hours with us. She was very communicative and had a calm demeanor that even put our other anxious dog at ease. Dr. Schmalz explained everything from start to finish without creating any feelings of pressure or feeling rushed. She had all of the necessary materials to make the experience casual, yet respectful and professional. I am so glad she was the one to help our loved one cross over the rainbow bridge.
Dr Earls was amazing. Fast to respond and was a true blessing for us. She was so good with our Cosmo and really made him feel comfortable. From start to finish she concentrated on Cosmo and us to make sure we all were good. She later sent us a beautiful “thinking of you” card and then later brought over a beautiful urn with his ashes and even a clay paw print. There was also a certificate and date of cremation. If you have to go through this I would recommend Dr. Carol Earls 100%. She is a wonderful caring person.
Dr. Vosburg was so empathetic during this whole process. She was there with us to talk us through the entire process, what to expect, and to simply hold our hands and cry with us. I’ve lost a few fur babies and this was by far the gentlest way of saying goodbye for now to my sweet girl.
I really dont think I could have asked for a better experience to help my family through this time. Dr Glenn Jackson was a blessing. He was soft spoken, heartfelt, and made everyone feel comforted while he helped us say goodbye to our 23 year old cat. My children were able to experience this necessary life lesson with Dr Jackson's support and step by step talk through of everything he did with Dax's (our cat) transition into death. If you have the unfortunate need for their services then Dr Glenn Jackson will be the angel you need in that tough time.
I genuinely can’t imagine having gone through this experience without Dr Norman’s support and demeanor. She was incredibly respectful and compassionate , let us have space for grief, and also spoke to us through it in a way that was both informative and empathetic in a way that made me feel less dread during the entire process than I would have otherwise. Dr Norman took a very painful and slightly traumatic situation and made it feel like a funeral, celebrating the cat’s life with respect and love, vs. a clinical procedure. And yet she also explained every step of the way where my pet was along in the process. I know for certain she was not in pain during it. Thank you very much

Dr. Lewis was amazing throughout this process. It's one of the most difficult things we go thru as pet owners but she was so compassionate & caring. Having her come to the house was the best thing we did for our dog. Dr. Lewis gave us all the time we needed before & after, to make sure we we had our time to say our final goodbyes. If this profession must exist, Dr. Claire Gibson is the exact type of person you would want by your side to guide you through such a traumatic experience. It's taken me months to even write a review because I'm still so distraught over my loss, but I have to say she really made the experience the best it could possibly be given the circumstances. She was so incredibly kind and you can just tell she cares and feels for you so much. She was even able to give me peace of mind ahead of our appointment because I was unsure if I was doing the right thing or not. She was able to explain it in a way that just made sense and it made me feel a lot better about it all. She made sure everyone was comfortable and explained the process each step of the way. She even sent me the sweetest sympathy card. I still feel really lucky that she was the doctor I had. I think my experience would have been a lot worse had it not been for her. Dr. Patterson was extremely compassionate, kind, and professional. Making the decision to euthanize a pet is never easy. Being able to hold my pet at home where he felt safe and loved while making a peaceful transition was the last gift I was able to give my boy. Dr. Dan Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made the entire experience much easier for my family during a very difficult time. He was in constant contact throughout the week as I hemmed and hawed my decision. Using at home pet euthanasia, was the best decision I made. To have a pet pass in a home that he had so many memories and where so much love given made the experience peaceful for not only him but myself. Dr. Karen Whala made my first experience with in-home pet euthanasia a very positive one. I will definitely use her service again when the time comes. She is kind and compassionate and was very gentle with my dog Sadie. Dr Whala never rushed the process and made sure Sadie stayed comfortable during the whole procedure. Choosing in-home pet euthanasia gave me an extra day to love and spoil Sadie while accepting that we were not going to have her anymore. It also gave Sadie comfort in her last hours to be free from severe anxiety that going to the vet brought her.
The sad experience was made more comfortable by the veterinarian’s compassion. She allowed us to set the pace. Saying “goodbye” in the warmth of our own home vs a sterile environment made a big difference.

My husband and I wanted to thank Doctor Chapman for her professionalism and warmth throughout a very difficult time. Our Charley had been deteriorating quickly, and she evaluated him with enormous care and compassion. Dr. Anna did a wonderful job. She had a very gentle way with Samantha, my baby of 14 years. She stroked her and talked to her. Gently wrapped her in the blanket that had been hers and mine when she sat in my lap. SamE was a 65 pound lap dog for 12 of her 14 years. She was a lap dog until she could no longer climb into my lap. Dr. Anna listened to me babble and gave me Kleenex for my tears. I could not have asked for a more gentle passing for our baby. Anyone who uses Dr. Anna’s services would be very pleased.
I cannot thank Dr Lane Martin enough for his patience and guidance regarding my beloved dog on her final day and in getting her ashes back. You need reassurance that you are doing what is best for your pet. My dog was the best and I loved her as my child. Understanding grief and information I received from coda pet as well helped me stand up for my needs with my sister and her spouse. My experience with Code A Pet started at a vet appointment with a very compassionate vet who recommended Code A Pet should I need them over a weekend. My call for an appointment was full of understanding about losing a pet. Dr. Sarah Clem came to my house to put down my 15 year rescue dog. My dog use to get overwhelmed when going to a vet, by having Dr. Clem come to my house she was able to stay calm. Dr. Clem was very empathetic, explaining everything she did. I would highly recommend this service and have to my friends.
Dr Pugh was amazing. I cannot describe how gentle, considerate, caring and respectful she was with my dog and with the situation. She made such a hard and sad event as peaceful and as dignified as humanly possible. When the time comes to make that hard decision with my other dog, I hope Dr Pugh is available.

Our experience with Dr. Whala was an incredible one. Our 17 year old cat had been living with kidney disease for several years, but it progressed rapidly the last two months. Within a few days he greatly declined and we were faced with the unthinkable choice of putting him to sleep or continuing to care for him while he suffered unnecessarily. When we finally decided to have him humanely euthanized, our regular vet's office recommended CodaPet. We had to make a very fast decision, and were able to book an appointment with Dr. Whala the very next morning. From the moment we booked to the appointment, everything went professionally and with the utmost compassion. Dr. Whala texted the next morning to confirm everything and explain the process. When she arrived, she was extremely kind and caring, and allowed our entire family the time and respect to spend as much time as we needed with our beloved cat. She explained the entire process and was just lovely in her demeanor. It was obviously an emotional time, and she knew exactly how to proceed without overwhelming us. As the visit continued, she explained everything she was doing and made sure to ask us if we had any questions or concerns. She provided compassionate care and went above and beyond to respect this difficult time. For anyone wondering if this is the route for them to take, I highly recommend at-home euthanasia with Dr. Whala. Yes, it was difficult and not an enjoyable time, but I can't thank her enough for the care she took to help our beloved Indy cross the rainbow bridge. If you are in a similar situation, or questioning whether this is the right decision for you, I absolutely recommend using Dr. Whala and allowing her to help your loved one pass on with dignity. Taking the initial steps was the hardest decision I’ve ever made. Having Dr. Karen Whala as part of my Stoney’s final moments leaves me with a sense is peace. She was incredibly patient and compassionate throughout the entire process and treated both he and I like family. I can’t begin to put into words how grateful I am that my Stoney was able to be home in his last chapter surrounded with love and his favorite human by his side!
She was very kind and understanding. Did not rush me. Gave me time to say goodbye. Explained everything she was doing. Treated my pet with kindness and respect. When she left took my baby with her in a pretty basket. She just looked like she was sleeping and at peace. My last moments and memories are good thanks to Dr. Mashawn.
It doesn't get any better than Dr. Marlene Anschultz. I've had 3 horrid experiences with at-home euthanasia that haunt me to this day. I don't want to use anyone else for this process than Dr. Marlene. Ever. She was genuine. She sat on the floor with us in the kitchen where our pet was comfortable. She talked to us. She talked to our cat. She asked questions about our life with him. We laughed and we cried. We were at ease from the moment she walked in. Dr. Marlene's time with us was gentle, kind, understanding, and patient. Not only did she explain the procedure in detail, she gave us time to process what she was saying. She answered questions. She asked us questions. She explained the disease progression in understandable language and why, because of what was happening, that there was kindness in letting him go. The time Dr. Marlene gave us to say our final goodbye was without limits. No pressure. No frustration. No looking at her watch. In a time of heart-wrenching pain and grief, we were comforted by a real person, not stock verbiage or fast-food procedure. I'll never forget it, and I'll be eternally grateful.
Dr. Hart was great and the experience could not have been more peaceful. This was a very painful day for me but Dr. Hart did not rush me and I had plenty of time to comfort my baby and say goodbye. She explained the process and told me what she was doing and what to expect for each step. I highly recommend her and it was worth every penny to be able to give my girl a peaceful passing.
A 5 star rating isn’t a high enough mark for the wonderful work that Dr. Keri Wasmoen does. She deserves nothing less than 10 stars! Her gentle demeanor and thoughtful care helped my family say good bye to our beloved Piper. Thank you Dr. Keri!!
A few sentences of the experiences of the CodaPet services would be completely out of context and not give a true representation of what we were feeling. Our dog loved to give boops, steal shoes when he cam inside, take walks, protect and defend us from attacking dogs, and suck his dinner down faster than a speeding SR-71 Blackbird. Then he got cancer that metastasized to his lungs , and we tried to keep him happy to enjoy all those things. We did radiation, chemo, and drug cocktails to kept him alive and happy for months after the diagnosis, months longer than he had originally been expected to live. The pain got worse, we tried another round of radiation, which worked for a few weeks, but then he got fussy over food. We would change to other tasty things for him to eat, which worked at first for a few days, then would work only for one meal, then he wouldn't eat. Because the cancer was in his leg he would hobble outside, clearly in pain, but kept his head up, laying on the grass, watching the world go by, still being a dog. He got so thin. One never knows the best time to do the euthanasia. If too soon, one feels they're depriving the dog of being a dog and enjoying life. Too late and the dog is just miserable and can't really be a dog any more. We may have had one or two more days before our boopy-boy couldn't be a dog any more, but there was no point in dragging out his agony any more. This was no longer about what we wanted, it had to be about what was best for him. Dr. Lisa from CodaPet was empathetic, caring, and knew how to make everyone comfortable, including the dog. He barked at the stranger in the house, always wanting to protect us, even if he couldn't even stand up. She showed us how to keep him calm and rest and not be aware when she gave him the sedative. He finally relaxed, the pain washing away, finally at peace at home on his own bed before she gave him the final injections. Dr. Lisa wrapped him in a blanket and we carried him to her car and we put him in the back, with some nice flowers arranged almost like it was in a funeral home. She gave us each a hug, acknowledging her job was not easy, and we pushed the button to close the tailgate, giving us our last view of our Boopy-boy, asleep, finally out of pain, leaving us with memories of a great doggie life and finally the end of a long struggle to keep him as happy as we could.
Our beloved Frida just turned 20 years old this year. We knew she had several health problems, and that the time would come when we would have to say goodbye. Frida hated going to the vet, and got very stressed in the car. For this reason, we desperately wanted her to die peacefully at home. We had hoped that one day she would simply go to sleep and not wake up. But instead, she began to have a flare up with a chronic illness that made her incredibly sick and in pain. Last Wednesday, after hours and with our normal vet on medical leave (unavailable) we made a call for help to Coda Pet - at home pet euthanasia. Dr. Amy Roberts left right away. She was so kind and patient. Frida was so dehydrated, weak, and almost non-responsive already, but Dr. Roberts understood that we did not want her to hurt any longer. She didn't rush us, and even allowed our other pets time to say goodbye to their furbling. We will forever be grateful for the willingness to come quickly, and at night, to help our Frida cross over at peace, in our laps, by the fireplace, in our home. No amount of time is ever enough to be with our beloved babies, but at least we got to help her cross peacefully at home and with the help of a caring and patient vet. Thank you, CodaPet, and thank you Dr. Roberts.
Dr. Derecka Alexander was very helpful and caring in our time of need. We had to say goodbye to a young boy battling health issues and Dr was very calming, supportive and informative with all of our care. Being able to do it in the comfort of his space for a 100+ lb boy was a big deal for us and him. We really appreciate Dr Alexander
He is very professional. Explains the process, but doesn't get in the way of saying goodbye. And reassured me that my little guy wasn't in any pain which was very important to me.
I was connected to Dr. Lowman through CodaPet and was so thankful she was the one to help us say goodbye to our sweet pup. I had called around a few other places and couldn't find appointments within the week. I was beginning to worry I'd have to take my dog to the vet instead, which would have been extremely distressing for her. Thankfully, I checked CodaPet and was able to get a next-day appointment with Dr. Lowman. It was the perfect amount of time for us to spend one last good day with our girl, but also soon enough that she did not have to be in pain for long. Dr. Lowman was kind, compassionate, and a great listener. She allowed me to tell her my dog's life story, ask questions, and quelled my fears and doubts about the process. She sent a sympathy card to us in the mail, which just meant so much during this tough time. I am so glad that I know between the time we said goodbye and the time she was taken for cremation, that she was in the best hands with Dr. Lowman. I could go on and on, but will just say there's no one else I'd have wanted to guide us through this difficult time. Very, very happy with CodaPet and Dr. Lowman despite the unfortunate circumstances we encountered them in.
Dr. Lisa Fieg was very accommodating and compassionate while providing in-home euthanasia services for my rapidly declining Basset Hound. She came out the same night after hearing that my dog was experiencing seizures. I highly recommend her for anytime one has to euthanize their pet and wants to have it done at home.
Dr Houck was knowledgeable and compassionate. Provided a comfortable end of life care for my beautiful dog. She was considering with her body after her death as well and made that experience bearable for me.
Dr. Dover was wonderful. She was so compassionate and knowledgeable. We appreciated the time she spent educating us on the process of euthanizing our 18 year old dog. She made sure we felt comfortable each step of the way and made one of the most difficult days of our lives much better.
We had to put our oldest dog down 6 days before we had to put Tate down and we used lap of love and I'm going to tell you the experience between the two or night and day. I will never ever recommend or use this company or that doctor again. Not only did I feel judged as she kept repeating how dehydrated my dog was, but my 17-year-old daughter felt judged as well. She didn't take any time and showed no compassion. Her bedside manner was horrible and it almost seemed as though she rushed us through the process. Lap of love was here for an hour. We were giving our dog treats. We were petting him. She asked when we were ready. She left the room after administering the first dose that puts him to sleep to give us privacy and then she left again when he passed so we can say our goodbyes and gave us privacy. Put him on a stretcher with blankets and carried them out to the car. This doctor puts my dog in a body bag (and I didn't appreciate that. She called it a body bag) in a basket. And then I felt completely blindsided when I went into my driveway where her car was parked to ask if I could change the urn and her boyfriend or husband was sitting in the driver seat waiting for her with a puppy in the car. My husband later then said that he was very unhappy with her and that he was wondering why the car was running in the driveway the whole time. That is insane and you charge $1,000 for this? I would have paid $2,000 for lap of love to come back out. Unfortunately they didn't have any doctors available. Tate was my best friend for 14 years. This has been a devastating loss for me and I am extremely extremely disappointed and upset with how this doctor handled the situation. I know she was dehydrated. She didn't have to keep saying it over and over again. I took her to the vet the day before and they did blood work and found out that morning that she was in kidney failure. I did everything that I could for my dog and then I knew it was time. She is the worst doctor ever. I will never recommend this company and I will never get that horrible experience out of my head. She should not be allowed around dogs and leaving her car running in the driveway with her husband or boyfriend or whoever it was in the car. And then she hands me some crappy death certificate. When we got our other dog's ashes back from the crematorium they had so many nice things in a bag to give us including his death certificate which was printed out and pretty and nice. Not a piece of copy paper that she just jotted the name and date down on. It was very very disrespectful and very hard. She has no compassion or bedside manner and I'm very disappointed. Again. I would never recommend this company to anybody, especially not that doctor. She did not care about my dog or my family.
Dr. Keri was a consummate professional with just the right balance of kindness, patience and compassion. The entire process was easy to navigate, timely and so very dignified for our precious dog. We debated initially about the cost benefit of doing this at home vs at the vet. Hands down it was the right decision. Dr Keri carefully explained every step along the way and made sure we understood. Our dog was comfortable, surrounded by her favorite people and took her last breath gently and painlessly. We are grateful.
My husband and I were searching for the best option to give our pet the rest and relief she needed. We wanted her to pass peacefully and learned about in home pet euthanasia. Dr. Alexandria Bufford with CodaPet is amazing and gave our pet the best care during a very hard time. We will be forever grateful.
It was a very difficult time for us especially my wife Doctor Anna came in and right away we felt her compassion for us and Wilbur she treated Wilbur like he was her own she did not rush us through the process taking time to love on Wilbur with us she is a very caring person and I believe she takes her job as a veteran personal if and when we have to do it again we will not hesitate to call codapet and Doctor Anna again and I must add she kissed Wilbur 3 times we do miss Wilbur thank you
My family and I felt comfortable and supported as we said goodbye to our family member Leia. Dr. Hart really was perfect coming into our home and helping us say goodbye with love. I am thankful she was the vet that we chose.
She was very caring, and you can tell how much she loves animals. She helped us feel better about our decision to have to put down our beloved pet and helped us know we were doing the right thing for our cat. She did her best to explain everything that we were going to be experiencing. It takes a very special person to do what she does and we were very grateful to have us there helping our cat at the end.
