FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

I simply cannot imagine a more peaceful, supportive way to say goodbye to your pet. Our beloved hound was unable to stand on her last day and rather than pick her up and carry her to her vet (which would have been painful and confusing), we called Dr. Gordon who worked us in as soon as possible. She treated us and Sahara with dignity and respect and allowed us to say goodbye in the comfort of our home. Thank you for this invaluable service.
Dr. Silvesti was very professional and so compassionate. I couldn’t have asked for a better person during this very difficult time of saying goodbye to my fuzzy best friend of nearly 16 years.
Dr Harper was truly wonderful. She was a blessing, kind, considerant, and comforting. She was gentle with our furbaby and made sure he was in no pain. She made his passing as easy as possible for him and us. So glad we chose in home euthanasia.
Care, compassion and empathy were in the forefront and every step of the way. This was such a hard decision to make after 15 years with our pup. Dr Dzierga was so respectful and compassionate in her assessment and through the process. We knew it was the right thing to do. We had another dog in our household for 13 years and it was important to us that she understood was happening too. While I wish this on no one, if you find yourself needing these services, I recommend Dr Dzierga with the highest regards.
Doing this at home spared my little darling the stress of going to the vet office. Dr Meadows was wonderful and understood our difficulty in making the decision.
Dr. Harper is a gift! She has the sweetest soul and I could not have imagined another person helping our little Buddy find a soft landing. Buddy loved his cotton blankets, he used the puffs to shield his eyes from sunlight as he napped in his senior years. She was Buddy's blanket as he crossed over, she shielded him from suffering. We gave her that blanket to take with her, we will never forget her! -May God keep watch over the angels among us. Love the Morrison's
